Green Waste Collections
I’ve been contacted by a number of people confused as to why the green waste bags were not taken last week. I’ve checked with the council, apparently the garden waste collections will be in the opposite week to our recycling collection. Therefore the bags will be collected tomorrow IF you’ve registered to have them collected. If the bags were delivered to you over the last couple of weeks that means you are registered.

Come on people, I am happy as the next man to knock the council when things arn't done, but here some are not reading their letters. The council wrote to everyone who had registered for door step collection of green waste, and confirmed that it would be fortnightly on alternative weeks to the recycle bins. It's not difficult, One week put out Little Bin & Big Bin, the next week put out Little Bin and Paper Sacks.
Whilst on the subject of green waste, I welcome the chance to get rid of it at the Kings Park 'Bring Site' on a Sunday morning's ( & Bank Hol Mondays) But I worry how many are using it, or indeed know about it. I have never seen it advertised, not even a board at the entrance to Kings Park, It might be a case of 'use it or lose it'. So come on everyone make sure you get to Kings Park every Sunday, (much more convenient than Millhams) and there are 6! council workers being paid to take away our green waste.
