The result of there still being no CCTV on Boscombe seafront

This photo about says it all. We need CCTV on the seafront urgently, and the Council are more concerned with selling sea front car parks to try and prop up their mismanagement of the town's finances!

It makes the person who sent me this picture, and me, despair.

AS a resident of Iford and a trader in Boscombe it not about the CCTV on Boscombe Seafront but about Boscombe as a whole.Three years ago i sat on the Boscombe Crime Prevention Panel and this was top agenda item. Our Chairman,Nigel Gillespie, really did his observations on this issue and was deeply passionate on this subject.I even believe he went to the echo and highlighted that only one man watch the whole camera system for Bournemouth on night. He battered the Lib-Dem Councillors with questions but was given weak answer but they knew he was right. The system is shamble, especially as the resident were promised an upgraded and efficent system.Martin

I agree with the first comments from Martin.Basically, the Lib-dems have failed to deliver on CCTV in Boscombe-Seafront and Town.May ,is not too far away!.Craig

The Lib-Dem council has failed to deliver to the residents of Bournemouth.Selling the town silver.Cllr Jean Moore with her promises of a high tec camera system. She hasn't a clue about what she is talking about.

This is proof of the top topic on the site that all Lib-Dem Councillors have deserted their wards!
I do read most local political papers when they come through the door and to be honest this is the worst administration that Bournemouth, has had in many years.

I trade in Boscombe and i am disgusted at the way the Lib-Dems have neglected the Cameras. With all the money that has come in through Neighbourhood Management, there is no improvement. Its all Talking shops and waffle and no action.I rang Ben Prescott up about this subject and he failed to return my call.If the conservatives cannot remove the clown councillors of Boscombe West,in the may election, then they never will.Disheartened and looking to relocated my Business

I had to write again.Saw Nigel's letter in the Daily Echo, tonight and once again he fired another missile into the Lib-Dem Camp. How correct he is in saying that residents are more concerned with criminality than litter-bugs and the lack of joined up approach.Martin

In Tonights Echo, there is a story of an estate agents window that was attacked by a hammer. There is your evidence that cannot catch criminals -so what chance litte-bugs.Your Call,Cllr Fudge!explain that one away.Bob

What chance have you got when you have Councillors like Prescott and Copeland.Phil-Stanley-Watts is good, the downside is trying to contact him,he never picks up the phone but when he does you can rely on him.Having left Boscombe and living in Iford lane,i am throughly disgusted with the camera;s and the hype that comes from the Lib-Dems.

Read tonights Evening Echo and the online comments by readers.Clearly the message to the liberals is failed, failed, failed. As one reader commented would a councillor go into the shop and explain why the window was broken, with high tec camera's,i guess not!
well,Mr Fudge and your band of losers, enjoy the ride as it is coming to an end...Also is the rumour true that Cllr Fudge may stand in Strouden Park as he may loose our ward.I am sure the people of Townsend would give him a good reception.I think not!!!
